Attending Uncle Ho's birthday celebration in Vladivostok, Russian Far East 2

In May, in this remote, year-round frosty Far East, summer entered.
Yet after only a few nights, I opened my eyes and suddenly felt like I was lost in another land.
Vladivostok is the capital of the Far East – the Russian Federation located on the coast of the Sea of Japan and near the border of China – Russia – North Korea.
Given this name, it must have meant that when it was first established, those who laid the foundation for construction saw its important position and had high hopes for this city.
From 1958 to 1991, only Soviet citizens could live in the city, or even only they could visit Vladivostok, and before that they had to ask permission to enter the city.
Coming to the Far East in May, we were extremely surprised when we were invited by the Vietnamese Consulate General in Vladivostok, the city government and the Vietnam-Russia Friendship Association of the Primorye region to attend Uncle Ho’s birthday celebration.
Many of these people are Soviet citizens who studied, worked or were attached to Vietnam.
We met and talked to many people.
Until his retirement, he served for nearly 20 consecutive years as director and general director of Far East Shipping Company FESCO.
Then Ms. Iovkova Zinaida Andrecvra, who received the Friendship Medal from the Vietnamese state.
Time has passed, the once Soviet Union is now Russia with many changes, but to the people I met, in the story, when talking about Vietnam, they still have warm and loving feelings.
Mr. Achkasov Stanislav Pavlovich is a former geological mining engineer.
He also brought here to display and introduce his unique and elaborate collection.
And, we suddenly felt warm when sitting here, attending the solemn and warm celebration of Uncle Ho’s birthday in the hearts of Russian friends in this far away Far East land…
