The pagoda team received a 1-4 defeat in the second match of Group A at the AFF Cup, on the evening of November 12.

Myanmar 4-1 Cambodia

Goals: Bo Bo Hlaing 60′, 90’+3, Aung Than Htet 70′, Sithu Aung 87′ – Chan Vathanaka 23′.

Myanmar faced many difficulties against Cambodia when they conceded first and did not really overwhelm the away team.

They scored twice as many shots and controlled the ball one and a half times as often as their opponents, but the turning point that opened Myanmar’s victory came from Cambodia’s mistake.

Cambodia entered the match in Myanmar with a lot of expectations when coach Keisuke Honda appeared on the bench.

Myanmar seemed shocked after the defeat.

Honda (left) could almost make a surprise with the Cambodian players.

In a tight situation, Myanmar’s coach was forced to send key striker Aung Thu onto the field at the beginning of the second half, even though this player had just returned to practice because of a broken arm.

The first was a 1-1 equalizer from a close-range kick by Hlaing Bo Bo, after a cross on the left wing from his teammate.
