Leading 2-0 in the first half thanks to two almost consecutive goals from young striker Danny Welbeck, but in a match without Wayne Rooney, MU once again could not win.

It wasn’t until the last official minute that MU avoided the first loss at home in the Champions League after 17 months, thanks to rookie Ashley Young’s header to equalize 3-3.

Young (red shirt, left) and Welbeck both opened fire but MU missed the victory.

Thus, after two matches in the Champions League this season, MU only has two points even though the opponent is not a formidable opponent.

Last night’s disappointment came to MU just a few days after the 1-1 draw against Stoke City in the Premier League, in which Rooney also did not play due to injury.

In MU’s squad for this match, Welbeck is probably one of the few players who can play.

The first was the opening goal in the 16th minute, after getting the ball from a combination between Giggs and Fabio and then scoring into the far corner to beat goalkeeper Yann Sommer.

In the remaining minutes of the first half, MU was not really leisurely despite having a two-goal advantage.

Things suddenly changed dramatically in the second half, when MU’s defense system and support from the midfield lacked cohesion.

Just two minutes later, the score was equalized 2-2.

When they had the advantage, MU played lackadaisically and slowly.

Faced with a difficult situation, coach Ferguson was forced to strengthen Berbatov’s attack.

With only two points after two matches, MU had to accept third place in the four-team table.
