Ten Hag is worried that Man Utd will be eliminated from the Champions League group stage 2

Coach Erik ten Hag affirmed that Man Utd must win against Copenhagen in round three of Group A if they want to enter the knockout round of the Champions League.

In the first two rounds, Man Utd lost 3-4 at Bayern and then lost 2-3 to Galatasaray at Old Trafford.

Therefore, Ten Hag admitted the possibility of Man Utd being eliminated from the group stage if they do not win against Copenhagen in round three at Old Trafford’s home field.

Rasmus Hojlund was the bright spot for Man Utd, scoring three goals in the first two matches, including a double against Galatasaray and one goal at Allianz Arena.

Ten Hag said that Hojlund played well, but needed time after being injured and missing the pre-season and the first four matches of Man Utd.

During this press conference, Ten Hag shared a lot about the information that legendary Bobby Charlton passed away at the age of 86 on October 21.

Robert Charlton was born on October 11, 1937 in Northumberland, England, and grew up in Man Utd’s training camp from 1953-1956.

Charlton is also considered an England legend, as he scored 49 goals in 106 matches for the `Three Lions`.

Ten Hag emphasized that Charlton is not only a legend of Man Utd, but also of football history, and set high standards and made a big impact at Old Trafford.

After a difficult start with six defeats in the first 10 matches, Man Utd relieved the pressure with two consecutive victories against Brentford and Sheffield United.

`Each match is an opportunity for us to build confidence and create motivation,` the Portuguese defender said while sitting next to Ten Hag at the press conference.
