The reason why it is said that Voznesensky put the lyrics to Pauls’ music is because before that, Pauls composed the melody and Leons Briedis wrote the lyrics in Latvian, with the name Marina given to his child (see video).
A million roses is associated with the name of singer Alla Pugacheva.

In the recounted anecdote, artist Niko Pirosmani gave Margarita not only roses of all colors but also honeysuckle, lilies, poppies, dahlias… The song’s lyrics mention crimson roses – symbolic.

Or in Chinese music, the song 999 roses (singer Dai Chinh Tieu, watch video) is also a monument to love songs.
The image of a rose on a small squared paper became part of the memories of a generation.
Perhaps thanks to roses, thanks to the love of people around the world for roses, Russian songs are closer and easier to enter people’s hearts.
A million roses rang out in many schools, construction sites… in Vietnam in the 1980s and 90s.
