HP launches TouchPad with 9.7 inch screen 1

TouchPad has an eye-catching design and especially powerful hardware with a 1.2GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor and webOS 3.0 operating system with many improvements.

The tablet running webOS that many users have been waiting for has finally been launched by HP with the quite simple name TouchPad.

TouchPad has a bold `Palm` design.

HP TouchPad (also known as Topaz in previous rumors) has a 9.7 inch screen with a resolution of 1,024 x 768 pixels, weighs 0.72 kg and is impressively thin at only 13.7 mm.

In addition to its impressive design, the HP TouchPad also offers very good hardware power with a dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon APQ8060 processor clocked at 1.2 GHz, gyroscope sensor, accelerometer, light sensor.

TouchPad with the new webOS platform promises many interesting things.

The TouchPad does not have a rear camera but can support video calls with a 1.3 Megapixel resolution camera on the front.

This device also promises many interesting things from HP such as the Touch-to-Share feature to help share website content, text files, music or calls between tablets and mobile phones running webOS.

Accessories announced by HP that will come with the TouchPad include a wireless keyboard, stand, and compatibility with Touchstone wireless charging.

HP will soon launch versions of the TouchPad including Wi-Fi only models and models with 3G or even 4G connectivity.
