On April 14, Musk made a `best and final offer` to buy the social network Twitter, which is expected to pay 54.2 USD per share.
In recent days, the American billionaire has continuously emphasized his goal of promoting freedom of speech on Twitter, `unlocking the extraordinary potential` of the social network.

According to CNN, Twitter’s board of directors, shareholders, employees and users also have unanswered questions about Musk’s recent actions.
Jenna Golden, a member of Twitter’s leadership team from 2012 to 2017, said that many longtime employees are trying to stay calm and trust the company’s leaders to resolve the instability from Musk’s statements, but his attitude is

Twitter is said to be considering a series of options, one of which is to apply a `poison pill` defense tactic to deal with the risk of being taken over.

The American billionaire said the proposal to buy Twitter is a way to protect current civilization, not to make money.
However, there are also people who believe that Musk is not actually serious about acquiring social networks.
`This is Musk’s attempt to attract attention. He proposed to buy Twitter because that is where he is most famous,` commented David Trainer, CEO of research company New Constructions.
What will Musk do next?
Musk warned that he would `reconsider his shareholder position` if Twitter’s board rejected the proposal, a move that could cause Twitter shares to plummet.
He once asked on Twitter whether users needed a new social network or not, and said he might call for capital to build a platform to compete with Twitter if he couldn’t buy the company.
If he buys Twitter, Musk can change everything from operating policies to corporate culture.
