Christine Kendall, a wedding dress designer from Hertfordshire, England, has just filed a complaint accusing Sarah Burton – creative director of the Alexander McQueen brand – of using her ideas when designing the royal wedding dress for Kate Middleton at her wedding.

According to The Sunday Times, Christine Kendall said that she sent a sketch of the dress to the Princess before her wedding with Prince William in 2011. Later, she received a letter from a royal representative, thanking her for
Christine Kendall’s lawyer – Humna Nadim – shared: `The lawsuit process is underway. Our client is certain that her company’s design was stolen and copied. We are not targeting the Company.`

Representatives for Alexander McQueen said they were `extremely disturbed` by the allegations.
In 2011, more than two billion people around the world watched the royal wedding and the bride’s wedding dress was considered one of the most beautiful wedding dresses in history.

In 2012, designer Sarah Burton was honored by the British royal family for her contributions to the princess’s wedding outfit.
The dress is currently included in the royal exhibition at Buckingham in London, England for many people to admire.
